After receiving a bit of feedback regarding this particular rule, we've adjusted it to hopefully better suit the community. Please feel free to discuss below or bring this up in the Chatlands Town Hall Discord server to discuss further. Changes are highlighted.
3.) Disturbing the Peace

Disturbing the peace refers to actions that cause emotional distress and upset the community. Depending on the severity of the situation, the behaviors below may lead to a permanent ban.
  • Creating conflicts by deliberately spreading false information or misrepresenting administrative decisions to others.
  • Faking your or someone else's trauma, such as death or an accident.
  • Harmful discussions or content, including rape, self-harm, suicide, hate group propaganda, or extremist speech.
  • Impersonating someone else, regardless of the context.
  • Destructive criticism of any kind, no matter who it is directed towards.
  • Excessive venting or ranting in public rooms that may cause discomfort to those who did not consent to the topics being discussed. It is important to respect each other's privacy and avoid discussing sensitive topics that may make others feel uncomfortable, especially if they involve individuals who are not present at the time of conversation.

Regarding "Do Not Interact" (DNI) or Public Blacklists

In order to create a public blacklist, you must have strong evidence and clear reasoning to support it. The evidence and reasoning should be made available upon request, but it is not necessary to share them publicly. If someone is unable to provide solid evidence to support their accusations against a member who is placed on a blacklist, the member in question should be removed from the blacklist. Without proper evidence, the accusations could be considered harassment or slander.

8.) Mature Content & 18+ Rooms
"This includes any R-rated content found on external accounts or profiles, such as Furaffinity, or discussions held outside of Wolfhome." This part, specifically, I am shocked there is no discussion of in this thread given the buzz it's created offsite. What you are effectively creating here is a rule that contradicts existing Wolfhome rules (strong language leads to an R-rating depending upon frequency, severity, and context) and what you are telling people is that they cannot have any discussions of an adult nature outside of Wolfhome without being subjected to disciplinary action.

What contributes to an R-rating:
(4) R - Restricted. Children Under 17 Require Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian.

An R-rated motion picture, in the view of the Rating Board, contains some adult material. An R-rated motion picture may include adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements, so that parents are counseled to take this rating very seriously. Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated motion pictures unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about R-rated motion pictures in determining their suitability for their children. Generally, it is not appropriate for parents to bring their young children with them to R-rated motion pictures.

If this rule goes into effect, you are going to have to address:
  • Any users who have an OnlyFans or otherwise engage in sex work (including drawing erotic or pornographic material for commission)
  • Anyone who writes erotic fanfiction
  • Anyone who has kink or other adult photos on adult websites
  • Anyone who struggles with substance abuse, or is close to someone who struggles with substance abuse, who discusses it anywhere online
These are just a few examples, I'm sure you can see how far this list goes. Frankly, I am not sure what the team intends to accomplish by attempting to control the behavior of it's primarily adult userbase off-site, but I hope this is a mistake based on poor wording and is not the actual intent of the rule change. If so I'm afraid that many of the current staff, previous staff, and users are going to find themselves removed from the site.

Hi, thank you for your input. We've made these rule reworks public so that we can get feedback and improve them. Our members have been discussing these rules on an open Discord server called Chatlands Town Hall. However, this specific rule has proven to be challenging to define due to mixed feedback, and it was created as a result of a previously conducted poll. We are currently in the process of further refining it, but it's proving to be a slow and challenging task. This rule was presented temporarily while we further discuss and refine it.

We have not received any feedback on this particular rule being discussed offsite aside from the CLTH server. We would appreciate it if you could let us know where this discussion is happening so that we can adjust the needs and requirements of our members accordingly. While we understand that we can't please everyone in the community, we do strive to find a fair middle ground.

If you're not already a member and feel comfortable doing so (and if I'm mistaken and you already are, I apologize), I highly recommend joining the Discord server. It's a great way to easily interact with a large portion of the community as well as the staff. I will link you to the Mature rule discussion in particular in case you are interested: https://discord.com/channels/1124063722 ... 7657906338

I would like some clarification on this rule- does this just mean we cannot link to our adult content? I have a side account (under a different username than my SFW art) on FurAffinity that I use for mild NSFW content- say someone over 18 is interested in commissioning me and specifically wants something NSFW, would I be able to tell them about my adult account onsite through whisper? Should I tell them to discuss it with me on Discord? I'm just tryin to understand how this rule looks.
yes absolutely! if the content on your account has graphic / pornographic content, then you need to be sharing it through whisper. however, if it is MILD nsfw that does not contain actual pornographic content and may just include nudity / mature themes, then it needs to be shared with a nsfw warning / content warning tag in an 18+ room.
