To the community,
After careful review of our rules and taking into consideration both the thoughts, ideas, and concerns of all members of this community, the Wolfhome administration has decided to make some changes. We would also like to provide some clarification where needed for the current forum rules. Similar changes will also be made to the chat rules, though we ask you to please be patient with us as we get those changes up. An announcement will be made when the new rules have been posted. Without further adieu, here are the changes:
1.) A. We have clarified on the following: excessive cursing, middle finger usage, linking content over the PG-13 limits:
We felt clarification was needed for how many curse words we allow in a post. We also want to stress how important it is for these words not to be directed at other people, or used in a way to belittle or harass someone. We understand that, by extension, middle fingers are similar to cuss words. With that being said, we will now allow them in artwork and on references, so long as they are not directed at particular individuals or groups of individuals. We feel this is the best way to be consistent with how we handle excessive cursing and when curse words have been directed at other individuals or groups of individuals.
- -While we do permit mild swearing, such as "damn" or "s**t", as this is a PG-13 website, we do not allow excessive cussing, which is more than five mild curse words or more than two stronger curse words, such as the "f-bomb".
-It is acceptable for middle fingers, without censorship, to be posted on the forum in the following formats when used indirectly in: artwork posted in the gallery, reference sheets, on the Faces of Wolfhome thread, and/or emote of the middle finger. If the middle finger appears to be: directed at someone/group/affiliation or in profile content (signature, avatar, etc.), it is not acceptable.
-Subjecting or directly linking to unfiltered NSFW ("not suitable for work") content, such as an image, a gallery, or video to others is not acceptable. Linking to offsite content that is filtered for viewing audience, for example, content that is only viewable to individuals who have the "NSFW filter" on, is acceptable.
The PG-13 content is where things get a bit more complicated. Directly linking content that is above the PG-13 level that is viewable to anyone will still result in action being taken against your account for being over the PG-13 limits. However, if you wish to link to furaffinity gallery where this content is filtered and only viewable to legal adults, we will now allow it. This, however, does not mean you can advertise NSFW or commissions that are above the PG-13 level on Wolfhome. This just means you can link to galleries or an image that is filtered for the appropriate audience. If the image is not properly filtered, it will be removed and handled by the forum department.
1.) C. We have clarified on the following: sheaths and nipples in artwork:
We know that this is a big change, and one that will take some getting used to. However, Wolfhome is a PG-13 site, and there are "bulges" on the crinos poses of the original pose set. With that being said, it is only fair to allow the same for all content posted on the forum. However, sheaths should not be detailed in nature; they should not have slits, and a singular, slight bulge, is acceptable. Something similar can be said about nipples, since old artwork of the Guardian shows nipples. With that being said, we allow nipples on all feral artwork, though there are still restrictions with nipples on anthro artwork. Many of you expressed concern with sheaths and nipples being allowed in artwork posted publicly on the forum, which is why we ask that as we go forward with this change, that nipples and sheaths in artwork are not flaunted to those who are uncomfortable with them. We also advise that spoilers are used for this content if you feel it could upset someone. This is NOT to say any content that could potentially upset someone should be put in a spoiler. All content in spoilers are expected to follow the rules.
- -Sheaths, on both anthros and ferals, are acceptable in artwork posted on the forum IF: there is no detail, it is just a slight bulge, and it isn't overly sexualized.
-Nipples are acceptable on genderfluid, masculine, and feminine feral artwork if they are not overly sexualized. Nipples may be present on masculine or genderfluid anthro artwork.
7.) We have also gotten rid of our passive aggression content rule. We do not feel it is right for the administration to be judging what is directed at someone and what isn't when it is vague content. If you feel someone is belittling you or harassing you, please inform a forum department member with evidence of how the post was directed at you and it will be treated as a disruption of the peace.
13.) A. We have clarified on the following: go fund me's:
We do not have an issue with people posting go fund me's with an explanation to why they need the money so long as services are provided in return. For example, coloring poses, YCHs, etc. Go fund me's are not acceptable when they are just asking for donations and there are no services provided in return, since that is technically the same as posting a request thread.
- -Asking members of this community to give you currency for free. This also includes through go fund me donations. Go fund me's are allowed if a service, such as pose coloring or permissions to a premade pose, is given in return for a donation.
15.) We have clarified on the following: roleplay protocol:
Since we now allow roleplay in designated roleplaying sections, roleplaying is now allowed on this board. But roleplaying done in other threads is not allowed, since Wolfhome is a chatting based site above all else.
- -Roleplay in the incorrect section will be met with a warning. After any two subsequent warnings on the forum, any further roleplaying in the wrong section will result in a ban.
In addition, we are in the process of changing our chat rules to match the forum rules:
Our rules regarding:
- -The biggest change being that recording in public rooms is allowed. However, we encourage people to ask permission before recording or taking a screenshot. Though, whether it is private or public recordings, screenshots, etc. used to black mail or harass individuals will be treated as harassment and should still be reported.
Are still in place, but have been moved specifically to the WH Artist Market Guidelines thread. These will still be enforced, and will be listed in the regular rules page without a description or details. The details of these will be strictly in the Artist Market Guidelines thread because these are issues that are restricted to market place use only. We've also added clarification on our stance for taxidermy sales.
- Black Lists
Third Party Selling
Naming & Shaming
Request Threads
Animal or Pet Transactions
Copyrights and Permissions for Character Transactions
However, our policies on:
Have been removed, and we no longer handle these. We believe we were being too strict in implementing these, even with the intention of trying to abide by the terms of service of other sites. The bottom line is that if Paypal has an issue with your account and how you handle fees, it will be on them to handle it. Something similar can be said regarding deviantart's policy in trading points, as these kinds of trades run rampant on sites like Furaffinity and deviantart has not attempted to stop them.
- Paypal fees
Trading other currency
After our poll on copyright and permission requirements on character transactions, we are still discussing and taking into consideration your feedback. And we hope to have an update on the changes for that rule shortly. But for now, our rule remains the same.
Though this is a brief summary of the recent rule changes, please read over everything in full again. Clarification was also added, to each rule, in how we handle them. Asking questions and making sure you understand them now is the best way to avoid mishaps in the future. If you are unsure of something, please feel free to ask.

Yes, it is. We feel that it is deviantART's responsibility to enforce their rules and that we should not be punishing our users for it.Seiun wrote:Isn't it still against dA policy to trade points outside dA for other currencies?
As stated in the OP:
I would recommend reporting it to deviantART if you see it.Have been removed, and we no longer handle these.
