A while ago a thread was made by Dragoncat in regards to making a new forum theme or adding more to the WH boards.
Optional themes would mean that you guys will be able to change up what you see as the boards theme or style. Here are examples of what we could have, this list isn't set in stone, we want YOU as a user to get to help decide. If you would like to post examples of what you want please do!:
Dark - example 1,example 2,example 3, example 4
Mid-tone/mixed - example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4, example 5
Light - example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4, example 5
If you would like to point to a style you would like to see, post in this thread. Some resources for styles include:
http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
However if you find a style on another resource you can still post here about it or PM it to me or another admin! As the choice of options to have on the board is important to the users, we are allowing input on styles, colours etc. Colour schemes of boards can easily be changed to different hues/colours.
Remember, not everyone will have their choice of skin chosen, we will do our best to find skins to suit everyone, hence a varying range of mid-tone, dark and light skins will be introduced over time.
New OPTIONAL forum styles *coming soon* please read!

Glad this is being considered and I'm def excited to move out of this drab blue theme x..x
Of the Dark themes, I liked example 2.
Dark may be a bit too dark if its to incorporate the Guardian. I do like the style in example 2 as well as the textures used.
Of the Mid Grade, example 2 is my all time fav.
I love transparency, although with that theme we'd have to be careful with font colors that may not match with the original theme we have now.
Of the Light, again example 2 lol is really cool
Think overall, we would have to stick to about the same shade for anywhere users can customize font colors. I'm sure there will be occasions when yellow or white will look great on the original theme, but will not be visible on a white background.

I liked example 2 in mid-toned/mixed, and example 5 in light.

Me too! When I found it kind of reminded me of Wolfhome with the world and stuff in the background.Grim wrote:I liked example 2 in mid-toned/mixed, and example 5 in light.

Why so surprised? :P To be honest I've wanted a new theme for the forum for awhile....I don't know, I like the blue theme now, but its just kind of bland. Plus we want everyone's feedback on what they would like.

Phpbb versions may vary, breaking point's forums do not necessarily reflect the wolfhome ones in terms of compatibility :) Also there are ways to "make it work" so to speak.Sylvannas wrote:For Example 2 (Mid-tone), the problem is the theme doesn't work! Tried it over on Breaking Point for our phpbb forums ^^; Sorry guys xD

That's true. We have 3.0.0; if you guys updated recently, you might need to uninstall the latest (but I'm sure you already know). Hope it works out!BulletGutz wrote:Phpbb versions may vary, breaking point's forums do not necessarily reflect the wolfhome ones in terms of compatibility :) Also there are ways to "make it work" so to speak.Sylvannas wrote:For Example 2 (Mid-tone), the problem is the theme doesn't work! But IMO, I think that the "darks" are too dark. This blue gives a light happy feeling...maybe we could somehow find something that does the same?
If i'm not mistaken, I heard from someone that they did an update not too long ago? Idk. But I think the problem with the theme was there was a missing "stylesheet", which is part of the skin's structure. Or it was missing from where I downloaded it, at least x)Xina wrote:Is the Phpbb version the same as here?Sylvannas wrote:For Example 2 (Mid-tone), the problem is the theme doesn't work!
