Hello Wolfhome Community,
Due to the nature of Wolfhome and role-play being a part of Wolfhome's community, the Administration has made some changes to guidelines pertaining to role-play.
Role-play is still restricted to role-play rooms and private rooms; however, how we handle role-play death threats has changed slightly. Role-play death threats are now allowed in private rooms and other private settings to an extent. This only affects private settings. You will still be subject to a ban if the role-play death threat is made in a public room, sniff, away message (in a public setting) and room rules.
Death threats will remain punishable if issued in public settings. They will remain punishable if issued in private settings if they are deemed too graphic or if it is unclear the threat was issued in role-play. That being said, the death threat ban lengths will remain the same.
Once again, please remember that this does not change our stance on general death threats or death threats made as a joke. These threats will continue to be handled with serious consequences. This rule change only affects role-play death threats that are issued in private role-play settings.

To cater for our roleplaying community, we decided that our death theat rule should be changed slightly. Sometimes killing off a character or chasing someone off from their packs is part of the story. Not to say that this is still a rule we take seriously (as this change still has restrictions). This is something we thought could be changed only to private settings so people can roleplay with their packs at their leisure.Aeonium wrote:Wait, can you explain why and the reasoning behind this?
Something like this is acceptable in a private room only. This also wouldn't be acceptable in any public setting.
User A: -kills wolf-
User A: im going to kill you if you come near my pups again
Something like this would not be acceptable in a private or public setting:
User A: She ripped out his throat, blood spraying everywhere. Her vision was red, she couldn't stop. She gored into his stomach, pulling out his entrails, teeth never stopping. Spittle, blood, and fleshy pieces flying everywhere
User A: if you ever did that to me, id seriously consider murdering you.
This gives a little bit more lee-way for people to roleplay with their packs etc. Though, if a threat is thrown at you in a private setting and you think its questionable in nature or taken as a personal attack, you can report it.
